Okay one small thing, while I absolutely do think people should enjoy old things, please test any antique dishes for lead before using them:

If you would like to test old dishware to check it's safety. In general:
- Don't use any old ceramics that are cracked or chipped
- Try not to use stuff from before the 1970s when there were no regulations on lead
- if unsure, or if you think you may have had significant exposure, go get a blood lead test to be safe. There are programs in most states that offer cheap or free blood testing depending on your needs, and the sooner you know the better. Generally treatment involves removing lead exposure in your environment, and sometimes medication for more extreme cases.

this is why newly out queer folks are so loud about their sexuality/gender. when you arent allowed to express it for years and are suddenly allowed to you feel a need to do it the most for a while. the more you suppressed it the louder you are for longer.
